With so much opportunity available, this is where you can make your mark.Key Responsibilities:To work in flexible shift timings and participate in a cross-shore development team.Mentor and coach Junior EngineersReview and Approve code modules using formal approval processDeliver APIs with high quality and sound design principles.Participate in Agile sprints including story writing, planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions and reviews.Participate in Scaled Agile Ceremonies.Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause and implement fixes.Lead Synchrony Values.Required Skills/Knowledge:Strong Technical Expertise in Java, Spring Projects - Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch, Git, Maven, REST.Strong Experience on Apigee Gateway.Strong Experience on API Test Automation using Cucumber, Java, Rest Assured.Experience on Domain Driven Design.Experience on Gemfire Caching Services.Strong Experience in developing microservices with 12-factor app methodology.Good to have experience in developing Spring Batch applicationsGood to have knowledge on Kafka.Strong Experience with Agile application development and familiarity with tools like JIRA.Strong Experience with continuous integration environments and using tools like Jenkins.Strong Experience writing unit and integration tests and familiarity with frameworks like Junit, Mockito and Spring Test.Strong desire to develop high quality code with ability to review and leverage quality check tools like Sonar, PMD etc.Familiarity with Cloud Platform like Pivotal Cloud Foundry.Working knowledge in RDBMS.Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical peers.Strong attention to detail in a team environment.Strong experience in using Monitoring Tools like Splunk & New RelicAbility to analyze, use structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options Passionate to learn and understand diversified business domains and technologiesAbility to quickly learn new technologies and frameworksDesired Skills/Knowledge:Desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills with ability to influence clients, team members, management and external groupsEligibility CriteriaBachelors degree in computer science or related degree with modern application development experience, with a minimum 2 years of experience in Technology and in API development.Work Timings: 02:00 PM - 11:00 PM ISTThis role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
