We are looking for a highly skilled API Architect with over 10 years of experience in designing and implementing API-based platforms and architecture for large-scale organizations. The ideal candidate will have strong engineering skills, experience in both public and private cloud environments, and a deep understanding of API architecture and microservices. Primary Skills:

• API Architecture & Integration: Expertise in API architecture, application integrations, and exposure to private Cloud (VMWare) and public Cloud (Azure/AWS) environments.
• Integration Products Knowledge: Proficient in integration products such as IBM IIB, IBM Gateway, Google Apigee, Microsoft Azure, etc.
• API Management Experience: Hands-on experience with Red Hat 3scale API Management.
• Enterprise Architecture & Data Skills: Strong engineering skills with a focus on enterprise architecture and data management.
• API/Microservices Design: Ability to re-architect monolithic applications to API/Microservices-based architecture.
• Strategic API Architecture: Ability to conceptualize and design API architecture from a strategic and enterprise perspective.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong negotiation skills, technology conviction, and ability to influence business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Secondary Skills:

• Cloud Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Business Requirement Analysis: Ability to understand, discuss, and question business requirements and current solutions.
• Solution Architecting: Capability to design scalable and robust API-based solutions for various domains.
• Technical Tools Selection: Experience in tools selection, design considerations, prioritization of features, and meeting delivery timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement scalable API architectures and microservices for enterprise-level applications.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead the migration of monolithic applications to a microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate integration tools and technologies for effective implementation.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in API architecture, application integration, and cloud platforms.
• Proven track record of designing API architectures for large-scale and domain-specific organizations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
