This role is responsible for managing all Supplier Quality Engineering activities of APAC region both for AG & CE. The plant locations covered are India - Greater Noida (AG), Pune (AG), Pithampur (CE), China - Harbin with future to add SQE for ANZKey Activities:New Product development\xc2\xa7 Project review (New & Capacity Enhancement) & identification of potential suppliers.\xc2\xa7 Evaluation of new suppliers required as per business need to cater additional business volumes as well as to fulfil the need of addition of suppliers with advancement of products technology.\xc2\xa7 Design reviews, Supplier technical feasibility confirmation, Technical review with suppliers for Process and controls.\xc2\xa7 Periodic reviews with suppliers to ensure timely completion.\xc2\xa7 Part approvals as well as management of disruptions related to Suppliers & Design.Cost Reduction Projects & BCC Sourcing\xc2\xa7 Increasing Gross Profit Margin (GPM) through cost reduction via. Alternate Sourcing, Benchmarking of best processes and Optimization.\xc2\xa7 Managing timely part development as well as approvals for BCC support (Cost reduction initiatives through resourcing of parts driven by other region (EMEA, NAFTA, LATAM) with APAC based suppliers.Global Strategic Sourcing Initiative\xc2\xa7 Active participation in Strategic Sourcing Program to drive transformation across supply chain which involves:\xc2\xa7 Part selection based on cost savings, viability, complexity, volume etc.\xc2\xa7 Potential supplier identification (incumbent as well as new) for parts to create market baskets (mix of high volume-high spend parts with highly technical or low volume parts). Supplier finalization & further PPAP activities.\xc2\xa7 Defining value drivers of quality such as Claim resolution, PPM, Warranties, Incoming Inspection, CAR, Testing support etc. for freezing agreement / contract.Current Product management\xc2\xa7 Management of current product quality for suppliers delivered parts and to continually achieve and improve the key KPIs like PIQ index, PPM & Supplier responsiveness for issue resolution and as well as quality of the responses.\xc2\xa7 Continuous evaluation of supplier performance and initiating & monitoring the improvement plan. The Aim is to consistently reduce the contribution of Top worst suppliers in key KPIs as well as to improve on the assembly downtime loss as well as Field issues. Performing Process audits and taking specific projects at suppliers end for improvement.\xc2\xa7 One of the major activities is to support Supply chain. This involves development of more than 500 components every year as well as inclusion of requisite number of suppliers through Potential suppliers assessment.Major Accountabilities:Profitability\xc2\xb7 Net Saving (Commodity + Cost reduction)\xc2\xb7 Cost of Quality - Supplier warranty recoveryCustomer Focus\xc2\xb7 CPM TTF - Both for APAC-AG & APAC-CE.\xc2\xb7 Material issue resolution under EHF, DAR/PDI & QA Matrix (Breakthrough Kaizens & QRQC).Quality\xc2\xb7 PIQ rate monitoring & actions - Both for APAC-AG & APAC-CE. (TWS meetings, QRQC).\xc2\xb7 Supplier Process recertification audits\xc2\xb7 Supplier responsiveness and Quality of responses\xc2\xb7 Process audit / Program reviews for ensuring timely new product development\xc2\xb7 Identifying needs of Special Process Audits ( Heat Treatment / Surface Treatment)Delivery\xc2\xb7 Production part approval - >85% at the time of Product launchSustainability\xc2\xb7 Cross segment sustainability audits & follow-ups.Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Language(s):Education/Qualifications: Bachelor of EngineeringEssential experience and skills:\xc2\xb7 20+ years of experience in Engineering Industry. Specific skills include product knowledge on Off Highway Product Line ( Agriculture and Construction Equipment) Quality Management and Quality systems\xc2\xb7 Proven Leadership qualities & good team handling experience\xc2\xb7 Demonstration of technical aptitude and business acumen\xc2\xb7 Sound working knowledge of all commodities i.e., Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical & Metallic\xc2\xb7 Devise preventive and proactive measures for Quality assured supplies\xc2\xb7 Effectively communicate across all organizational levels, departments, and functions\xc2\xb7 Experience in working large multi-national corporations, exposure to matrix organizations\xc2\xb7 Proven project management and process improvement skills\xc2\xb7 Ability to perform scenario analysis and strategy development\xc2\xb7 Thorough knowledge of Quality systems, process, and methods.\xc2\xb7 Managing cultural conflicts and demonstrating cultural behaviors: One Team, Grow-Together, Customer First, Make it Simple and Be the Best.\xc2\xb7 Enabler to promote Diversity & Inclusion\xc2\xb7 Desirable to be fitness enthusiast
