##### Main Purpose


You will be helping to deliver on state-of-the-art smart antenna design, customer antenna integration and design projects as well as help with R&D functions within the group.
##### Responsibilities


• To design and develop antennas mainly from (but not limited to) 100MHz to 6GHz. Ability to design and develop antennas for mmWave application would be a plus and desirable.
• Knowledge in communication standards such as CDMA, GSM/GPRS, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, EDVO, WIFI, GPS, EDGE, 5G, UWB, GNSS and others.
• To create and/or approve antenna specifications.
• Work with VNA's, Far Field anechoic chamber, spectrum analyzer and other RF equipment.
• Work as a team with Sales, R&D, Management, Production, Mechanical, Noise Control departments.
• To solve and support certification issues on wireless devices with customers.
• To suggest improved PCB layouts to help customers improve RF performance.
• Ability to coordinate projects from initial customer meetings all the way to pilot production runs, including assisting in QC documentation, test standards, etc.


##### Knowledge and Experience


• The ideal candidate will have two to four years of proven track record of antenna integration,
• Electromagnetic simulation experience such as CST, HFSS and ADS.
• Ability to use RF test equipment and perform passive and active tests.
• Ability to consider all possible variables and challenges at the beginning of a custom antenna design for any wireless device
• Fully understand different antenna technologies such as Dipoles, Monopoles, Helical, Loop, Yagi, PIFA, etc. Including features, restrictions, integration considerations, advantages, disadvantages, etc
• Design of matching circuit or filters with CAD and in Lab.
• Qualified in an electrical engineering area, ideally to MSc level.
• Knowledge with AutoCAD, MATlab, CAM350, Altium, Solidworks is a plus.
• Exposure to Design for manufacture and design for Assembly.
• Knowledge of Satellite communications (GNSS) and antenna solutions for such application. Knowledge of using GNSS receivers and process GNSS data is a plus.
• Able to link the antenna performance to system level performance and understand how to optimize the system performance.

• Proven ability to be able to pursue and complete projects on your own with minimal supervision.
