Overview:
Main Purpose
Seeking a talented and experienced Ansible/AWX Coder and Developer to join our Compute and DB team under IT Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure projects, automate existing day-to-day workflows and contribute to the success of our organization. Responsibilities:
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and AWX workflows to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and architect automation solutions.
- Implement best practices for code versioning, testing, and deployment within Ansible/AWX environments.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to ensure smooth operation and reliability.
- Continuously optimize and improve existing automation workflows for efficiency and scalability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Ansible/AWX automation.
- AWX/Ansible Tower Administration: installation, configuration, and maintenance of AWX/Ansible Tower infrastructure.
- Support the deployment of Ansible automation on IT Infrastructure (Compute and DB) environments.
- Develop, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks and Python scripts to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in using IaC: YAML. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and IDE: Visual Studio.
- Experience in Azure DevOps and understanding of observability tools.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of technologies related to infrastructure engineering.
Key Skills / Experience Required
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Automation Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Ansible and AWX, including playbook development, inventory management, and job scheduling.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking principles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
