What are we looking for:

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer III, whose primary objective will be to identify and develop solutions that meet the complex needs of ACV and its customers. As an Analytics Engineer you will have the ability to provide thoughtful interpretation and approach in making recommendations and influencing stakeholders on business needs for our Remarketing Centers (physical auction centers).



What you'll be doing:

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Own the full scope of a project; from understanding new business area, iterative requirement gathering and refinement including design, delivery, deployment, monitoring, and optimization
• Develop and analyze large data sets to build reports and dashboards giving stakeholders visibility into relevant metrics
• Design and conduct research to evaluate effectiveness of new initiatives in evaluation, reporting, and analysis to understand effectiveness of new initiatives and identify trends
• Present analysis, recommendations and influence stakeholders through data and thoughtful interpretation of findings
• Act as an internal consultant to varying business groups on all analytics related matters
• Convert business questions into technical requirements with autonomy.
• Mentor and train lower-level Analytics Engineers
• Perform additional duties as assigned


What you will need:

• BA/BS in Statistics, Operations Research, or similar computationally intensive degree -or- college or university degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• 3 years of relevant, professional work experience related to position
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Understanding of project management skills and the ability to implement those across multiple programs.
• Ability to navigate conflicting technical requirements and work collaboratively across projects towards a win-win solution.
• Strong Experience with Python (strong emphasis on pandas, numpy, plotting).
• Strong Professional Experience with MySQL / BigQuery.
• Experience with data engineering, proficient in ETL jobs and building data pipelines.
• Experience with data visualization / dashboarding tools like Tableau.
• Experience doing complex queries and transformations on large data sets.
• Good scripting and functional programming skills.
• Expertise in exploratory data analysis and the basics of data-driven reasoning are a must.
• Strong Professional Experience in collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams and people, including but not limited to product teams, sales teams, operation teams, engineering teams, UX research teams, and marketing teams.
