Position Summary
Motivated and detail-oriented finance professional with a good foundation in financial and accounting principles for IFI. Eager to contribute as a finance staff for IFI, dedicated to maintaining accurate financial records and providing crucial support in day-to-day financial operations. Experienced in processing payments, document management, and data input, which shall support in contributing to budgeting, financial accounting, and reporting functions.
Principal Accountabilities / Key Deliverables
1.Accounting:• Book accurate expense reimbursement and vendor invoices in Tally
• Sound knowledge of cost centre based accounting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Reviewing the expenses Invoice along with the supporting as per the purchase policy and ensuring adherence to all relevant policy.
• Preparation of financial records from data entry, bank reconciliation statements, accounts payables, journal entries and financial statement preparation.
Review financial records on regular basis.• Handle closing of books of accounts.
• Handle Fixed Assets register
2.Compliance:• Stay updated on financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Working on files needed for TDS payment, TDS return, PF, PT and other regulatory returns
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
3.Reporting:• Generate timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support in preparing reports for funders, donors, and regulatory authorities.
Others:• Liaise with bankers and handle any banking related issues, as required.
• Assist during internal, statutory, FCRA and Tax audit.
• Assist in compiling information during income tax assessments/scrutiny.
• Ensure timely compliance of all statutory requirements.
• Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting.
• Solve queries raised by other team members for invoice payment.
4. Key Skills & Competencies
Education and Work experience• Minimum B.com Degree with 2-3 years of experience in finance and accounts.
• Working experience with Non-Profit organisation would be an added advantage.
Required skills and abilities• Sound accounting, book keeping knowledge, advanced knowledge and proficiency in excel.
• Ability to analyse financial information effectively; proficiency in Tally ERP accounting system
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills;
• Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills;
• Ability to self-initiate, problem solve, make decisions independently.
