How You Will Contribute:


As a Transportation and Trade Management Analyst at Ciena, you will report to Director , IT Applications and have a range of responsibilities in the OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) and GTM (Global Trade Management) space. Your role will involve both technical and functional aspects, including configuring and developing necessary functionality within the OTM GTM cloud based on the configuration specifications designed by Architects.


You will work closely with the AMS (Application Management Services) team to ensure the maintenance of the functional production environment. This includes collaborating with the team to carry forward system changes and enhancements through to production. Additionally, you will be expected to build strong business relationships, gather and clarify requirements, configure the system, develop reports, and collaborate with other team members.


To excel in this role, you should demonstrate capability in various areas, including building business relationships, gathering and clarifying requirements, system configuration, report development, and partnering with other team members to implement system changes and enhancements.


Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of the transportation and trade management systems at Ciena..

• OTM/GTM Analyst is expected to work with various stakeholder to understand problem/requirement to generate and maintain requirement documents.
• OTM/GTM Analyst is responsible for assisting in configuration and development, testing various OTM/GTM modules.
• OTM/GTM Analyst is responsible for participating in UAT and help test case execution, failure recording and debugging.
• OTM/GTM Analyst is responsible for helping AMS team to implement data fixes and assists in data migrations.
• OTM/GTM Analyst is responsible for supporting OTM/GTM quarterly upgrade cycles.

The Must Haves:

• 1-2 years of experience on OTM/GTM Cloud.


o Should have working knowledge of Agent configuration.


o Should have working knowledge on OTM/GTM logging and debugging.


o Should have working knowledge on Data Management and OTM Integration.


o Should have basic understanding of Base OTM GTM modules like Order Management, Shipment Planning, Party Screening, Transaction Management.

• Demonstrated competency in SQL query design and performance tuning.
• Able to identify functional/technical issues and takes ownership to close them or seeks escalation.
• Ability to identify and resolve functional/technical issues independently or through escalation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with ability to converse with business users/management and other technical and functional experts. Must be


comfortable in managing these conversations using web conferencing tools and collaboration technology in multiple time zones and geographies, as majority of the users and team members will be outside India.

• Should have analytical understanding and logical reasoning for problem resultion.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or IT related fields from a four-year college or university with 1 to 2 years related experience.


Assets:

• Additional competency in SQL query design and performance tuning
• Knowledge on Oracle ERP.
• Knowledge of XML/XS
