Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier\'s products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization\'s quality standards.This role in summaryLead the Target costing process for New Project Launches of India through WPD process to ensure product is getting launched at the right Cost. This role partners with Cost modeling ,Engineering ,Commodity ,Product management and Suppliers to ensure optimized BOM cost going from the initial Scoping of the project to each Tool gates of New projectsYour responsibilities will includeTo work with the global launch teams to understand and achieve product Target costing through Integration eventsTo prepare and present BOM cost, Cost walk, Cost maturity updates in all project tollgates to make right business decisionsClose interaction with Project Management , Engineering, Cost Modelling , Design, Product Management (Plant Procurement), Commodity and Marketing to get & provide right input at right time in development cycle.Complete accountability of \xe2\x80\x9cLaunch on target cost\xe2\x80\x9d from Project planning stage to start of Production.Experience in Cost structure and exposure of components costing, process understanding etcBasic knowledge of Manufacturing/engineering processes, materials & systems.Lead workshops on Competition benchmarking and drive results to create VA/VE opportunities for productivity improvementsIdentifying and driving cost opportunities within Global Strategic Sourcing, Engineering and Marketing spaceKey DeliverablesCost managementComplete Project BOM cost managementCoordination with Global and India project teams to drive resultsProductivity supportCompetition BenchmarkingDriving Cost opportunity in NPI to meet the Target costMinimum requirementsEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONSBE / BTech from Reputed InstituteEXPERIENCE/6- 8yrs expPreferred skills and experiencesEXPERIENCE/ PREFERRED INDUSTRY6- 8yrs expAutomobile / White goods / Consumer Durable IndustryWith Costing experience & Part development knowledge.Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool CorporationSee what it\'s like to work at Whirlpool by visiting .
