Job Summary:


The Security Analyst position requires experience and knowledge of security industry standards, and the ability to establish and review vendor security assessments following security control standards. The Security Analyst will assist with identification, assessment, control designs, and risk mitigation, guiding the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct information security risk assessments and due diligence activities of vendors, suppliers, partners and contractors using industry best practice standards and based on the risk appetite set by management
• Document and communicate vendor security review findings and risks identified during review in a clear and concise format
• Conduct reviews and verification of vendor responses and document those reviews in a standard format.
• Ability to multi-task vendor security assessments as needed
• Work directly with internal teams and external customers to provide guidance and documentation for security related purposes

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years information technology experience or related field within the last 3 years.
• 2+ years evaluating risk related to third party service providers. Including security assessments and issue tracking and remediation.
• Ability to clearly communicate information security matters to management and third parties using appropriate language, and examples, verbally and in writing.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Working knowledge of information systems security standards and practices
• Ability to interpret information security data and processes to identify risk and potential compliance issues.
