This Policy Compliance Analyst position is part of the American Express Global Merchant Network Services \xe2\x80\x93 Operational Excellence (GMNS - OE). Policy & Data Compliance team (P&DC) provides support and establishes policies and requirements for interactions between the Network and Card-Issuing and Merchant-Acquiring Participants and their respective Card members, merchants, and third parties around the world. Policy & Data Compliance team is part of the GMNS organization and is responsible for enforcing & monitoring multiple compliance activities as laid down in AEGNS Business & Operational Policies (BOP) & Data Security Operating Policy (DSOP). The Analyst will support operational policy compliance programs, enforcement activities and governance activities for the Network and GMS Merchants. These programs and activities are critical to strengthening overall Network performance, increasing customer satisfaction, and protecting the American Express brand. Responsibilities

  • Managing operational activities in support of policy compliance programs (such as Exception Governance, PCI DSS Compliance, Policy Risk Assessment, Arbitration & Compliance dispute resolution, Brand Protection programs, Risk & Transactional Programs) and Includes Network Participant performance monitoring, program management, and non-compliance follow-up.
  • Understanding Network Participant relationships and collaborate with Partner Managers, Regulatory Compliance, GMS, GCO & Legal and Policy Development teams to drive Network policy compliance by Issuers & Acquirers (GMS & GNS).
  • Analyzing data on Network Participant performance, and identifying trends, gaps and opportunities areas.
  • Lead & support cross functional compliance projects
  • Supporting process improvements to enhance programs, and improve policy compliance, in coordination with other key stakeholders.
  • Supporting GMNS OE leadership team on new and evolving policy compliance programs
  • Providing general support on compliance related governance activities like Exception governance, Partner non-compliance fee governance, and risk & partner payments management.
  • Producing regular reporting/metrics on policy compliance programs and developing new reporting.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on Policy Compliance deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Overall 3-5 years work experience
  • CA/MBA majoring in Finance/Compliance/Risk Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Card Economics and Payment Network Business
Key Skills
  • Payment Industry knowledge (Global & Regional Policies & Mandates), PCI DSS(Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards), Policy Compliance Operations, Brand Protection, Transaction Lifecycle, Project Management experience preferred.
  • Ability to act as a back-up, as and when required, to perform Manager Role and Responsibilities and offshore business collaboration.
  • Ability to understand the synergies between different Policy Compliance Programs and being able to draw inferences.
  • Understanding the network business model including processes and terminology.
  • Excellent Communication skills and Data Visualization abilities. Role involves frequent communication with Senior Leadership across the globe.
  • Story telling skills with ability to create compelling presentations.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability in taking the initiative to address issues. Strong eye for detail and organizational skills.
  • A team player with strong ability to build & leverage relationships.
  • Strong customer focus, thought leadership & demonstrated problem solving and process improvement skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio).
  • Knowledge of Payment Industry preferred
