• Conduct independent risk assessments on technology operations and infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats, including those associated with machine learning systems.
• Develop and implement risk oversight strategies to ensure the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures implemented by the first line of defense.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management controls and challenge the adequacy and effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to provide independent oversight and guidance on security measures integrated into the design and implementation of technology projects.
• Assess the security and risk implications of machine learning models and AI-driven solutions, ensuring they adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats in technology risk management, particularly in the context of machine learning and AI.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and risk committees, outlining risk findings, oversight activities, and progress updates.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technology risk management, with a focus on operations and infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Modern application architecture , IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, cloud computing and machine learning technologies.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT.
• Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CRISC, CISM, CISSP) are a plus
