So, join our team and feel like you\xe2\x80\x99re part of something bigger.Department DescriptionThe Distribution & Client Technology department comprises of Client Reporting, Data and CRM Technology teams that enable and support the business in the UK, EMEA and Asia Pac regions and is a strategic area targeted for growth over the coming years. The Distribution & Client Technology has been acting as the key enabler for the business in achieving their goals. The portfolio of projects will include a large collection of strategic initiatives as well as tactical ones to support day-to-day operations and strengthen the environment.Purpose of your roleThis is a challenging opportunity for Snowflake data professionals who understand and solves medium to complex functional, technical issues around data integrations and has the ability to understand the implication of the chosen technical strategy and ensure alignment with business context. The candidate will be expected to interact with all levels of the technical community.The candidate should have good experience in Snowflake design and development as well as in data modelling, with some experience in Oracle, Reporting tools etc. Candidate should have understanding of how the enterprise wide data lake construct can be implemented.The candidate is also expected to be hands-on on coding. The role would also involve intensive interaction with the other cross functional teams, so good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure is absolute must.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare system and technical high-level design documents
• Produce Technical specifications, unit test cases for the reports under development
• For assigned projects, ensure that all project technical artefacts are constructed, compiled, packaged and documented in accordance with FIL Technology development methodology, technical delivery method and quality gates
• Support and mentor analyst programmers in all technical deliveries, review their code and provide technical guidance
• Build trusted relationships with business partners and proactively seek feedback on systems processes and personal performance
• Analyse technical issues, flag risks and provide solution approach to such issues.
• Ensure code is maintained in version control system and participate in code deployments with the Deployment team
• Give inputs to prepare the Implementation plan for deployment into production, provide necessary production support during initial phases after go-live.

Experience and Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University
• 2-5 years of relevant industry experience

Essential Skills

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level applications using the Snowflake platform
• Experience of data migration from existing platforms to Snowflake in large scale and complex implementations
• Good with data modelling skills; entity relationship as well as dimensional, designing various layers of Datawarehouse, etc
• Experience on PL-SQL/Data warehousing/Oracle/Snowflake.
• Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Informatica Powercenter, Unix shell scripting, Oracle 12c database optimization and scheduling tools along with performance improvement techniques across ETL technology stack with hands-on abilities
• Data analysis, source system analysis and data mapping to target data model - 4 to 6 years
• Knowledge in data integration architecture/ETL/Data warehouse, esp large volumes with complex integrations - 6+ years
• Good knowledge of reporting tools such as OBIEE, Tableau with understanding of different types of reporting, storytelling using visualization, etc\xe2\x80\xa6
• Good knowledge of emerging alternate tools/technologies like Python, Spring Integration, Big Data technologies, etc...
• Ability to identify and define non-functional requirements and design systems to meet the same
• Excellent verbal, written communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience in preparing Technical Documentation (Pseudo Code, Process Flow, Data Model, Class Diagram)
• Integration with cloud systems like Workday, Salesforce and Marketo
• Exposure to Data quality, complex transformation such as B2B, metadata management, etc\xe2\x80\xa6
• Self-starter with ability to take ownership of end to end implementations
• Candidate must be willing to travel overseas at short notice for the duration necessitated by project needs
