Job Overview At General Mills, we are looking for an experienced Analyst with good visualization, data handling, problem solving and communication skills to support the CMI team to solve business questions. The candidate must be able to - . assist team members on projects and take end to end accountability for work delivered . evaluate multiple data sources (social media, search analytics, secondary research) and synthesize this data to draw detailed analysis and insights. Provide the \'story\' not just the data. Job Responsibilities 90% of Time Data analysis & Connected Insights - Analyze analytics data set and growth projections to drive business prioritization - Draw key insights from data sets and key metrics like social conversation volume, forecasted growth, emerging trends ranking - Develop proficiency in using multiple tools like Trendscope, Synthesio, Google analytics - Develop proficiency in using dashboards for trend analysis - Evaluate multiple data sources across social media, search analytics, secondary research and synthesize this data to draw detailed analysis and insights to answer the specific business questions - Analyze consumer behavior in terms of their attitudes, opinions, and actions to enable the team to understand brand sentiment, upcoming trends and competitor performance in the social space - Read and understand qualitative data i.e. social media comments - End-to-end project execution and presenting the insights to internal business segments - Deliver bigger and complex projects under supervision of team leader/ manager within agreed timelines and as per agreed quality standards 10% of Time Self-Development - Complete and Leverage IDP for self-development - Identify and undergo self-learning modules - Participate in project related trainings - Make presentations on the right forum Desired Profile: Education Minimum Degree Requirements: Masters Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters Preferred Major Area of Study: Marketing / Market Research Required Professional Certifications: Master In Business Administration Preferred Professional Certifications:Master In Business Administration Experience Minimum years of related experience required:2 years Preferred years of related experience:3+ years Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed Must have skills: -2+ yrs experience in data analysis and insights generation - Must have used secondary research tools like Euromonitor, Mintel, Nielsen Numerator etc. to draw key insights from the data - Must have a proven experience in connecting insights from multiple data sources within social media, data analytics and secondary research - Must have fluency working with numerical data sets using excel and creating reports in Powerpoint - Must have proven ability to manage stakeholders and scale up research initiatives for the organization - Strong oral, written and formal presentation skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way - Must have proven problem solving skills and attention to detail Good to have skills: - Experience in social listening, social analytics (using metrics like impressions, reach), hashtag tracking, competitive intelligence - Experience in trend analysis is preferred - Good to have an experien ce working on dashboards - Experience in Trendscope or Blackswan is preferred - Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple stakeholders at the same time - Prior experience in CPG industry preferred Competencies/Behaviors required for job Leading Change - Continually asks him/herself, \'Why do I (or we) do it this way\' - Remains curious despite having developed deep expertise Delivers Outstanding Results - Makes quality decisions in a timely manner - Proactively anticipates and addresses issues/opportunities - Consistently accomplishes assigned tasks - Delivers high quality work, within established timeframes - Pays attention to detail and focuses on accuracy - Seeks assistance, information and resources to make good decisions - Displays sense of urgency even in absence of assigned deadlines Technical Expertise - Acquires foundational knowledge and skills in his/her functional area - Seeks to understand the principles of service excellence & how to apply them in own area - Partners with clients to achieve service excellence through improved processes and systems Influence and Impact - Is action-oriented - Delivers excellent results on time and at budget Agility - Displays active listening skills in interactions with people at all levels
