Through our recruitment, career development and employee-focused programming, we are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive work environment where high-performance talent of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives can build careers within this exciting and growing industry.Role summary:This position presents candidates with a unique opportunity to join a growing group that offers significant exposure to all phases of the Direct Lending process.The incumbent will provide support for monitoring corporate debt and equity investments, including quarterly valuation and reporting, as well as support Ares ongoing fund raising and investor relationship effort.Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well with limited supervision are of critical importancePrimary responsibilities:The incumbe will provide support for the monitoring of Ares US Direct Lending Group corporate debt and equity investments, including general portfolio management, quarterly valuation and reporting, supporting the potential restructuring of investments with senior investment professionals, as well as supporting ongoing fund raising and existing investor relationship efforts.This position will be based in Mumbai.Key responsibilities include:Core responsibility for monitoring corporate debt and equity investments:Providing assistance to deal teams with assigned investments and general portfolio managementincluding quarterly valuation and reportingSupporting potential restructuring with detailed Excel financial models including cash flow analysis,and related capital structure re- structuring analysisCommunicating with portfolio company managementUtilizing firm\xe2\x80\x99s proprietary software tools for company trackingPerforming and helping manage mark-to-market quarter end valuations and processAnalyzing portfolio trends and market leverage and price developmentAnother key responsibility is supporting Ares ongoing fund raising and existing investor relationship effort.Maintaining and developing Ares investment track recordAssisting in investors presentations and queriesAdditional duties include providing direct support as deemed necessary by senior managementGeneral requirements:Self-motivated and driven; ability to work effectively in a collegial, fast moving,demanding, and dynamic environmentExperience with asset management systems or other relational databasesExperience at a regional, national, or global financial services firmExperience with US capital marketsSelf-starter, exceptional communication, and organizational skills necessaryAbility to work independently as well as with \xe2\x80\x9cthe team\xe2\x80\x9dExcellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacyKnowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, OutlookCreative problem solverRequired experience:CA / MBA with 3 to 5 years of experienceReporting Relationships Partner, Core, US Direct Lending PMGThere is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity.
