Global Business/Global Function: Global Risk is a very dynamic global function with HSBC which works very closely with all the global businesses & other global functions in managing the top & emerging risks for the Bank. Global Risk has many sub-functions like Wholesale & Market Risk, Retail Credit Risk, Operational Risk, CRO & Administration etc. which are critical for the Bank for driving Risk monitoring and governance effectively. Effective management of financial and Non-financial risks requires diverse information from a variety of sources, for example, risk reports, risk and control profiles, operational risk incidents, key risk indicators, risk heat maps, and rules and definitions for regulatory capital and economic capital reporting. Executive-level dashboard and reports provide visibility into the risk analysis, highlighting key risk metrics and policy compliance. What you\'ll do: Job Family Classification and Description - The MI Reporting Job family involves the design, development and reporting of management information on a timely basis, which helps the business managers of the Global functions drive informed decisions. The job family requires the incumbent to plan & execute the assigned projects/ analysis per agreed timelines and with high levels of accuracy & quality. MI Reporting job family requires access to various databases and tracking the performance of business metrics, trend analysis etc. and transforming the information into meaningful dashboards for the consumption of senior management. Candidate should be able to work on - Data standardization, report production, processes, trend analysis, automation, dashboard visualization and make presentations. Designing, developing, and delivering management reports to a global customer base in conformance with the prescribed standards, timelines, and quality requirements. Streamlining and automation of reporting in an effort to bring efficiencies across all reporting lines, with the help of the technical teams as may be required. Keep self and team updated of changes on an ongoing basis, and support Non-BAU projects / ad-hoc analysis as relevant, ensuring key takeaways are clearly articulated. Maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the creation, maintenance, and alteration of standard management reports. Thorough quality check (QC) of their own deliverables and follow the QC procedures outlined by the department. Adherence to Group policies, audit, controls, and compliance requirements including but not limited to Declaration of secrecy, data protection act, health, safety and security, clear desk policy. Independently communicate with business partners & other stakeholders with little supervision. The incumbent would be required to support specific group entity or any business geography. : Reporting and Analysis: Preparation of the Risk Management Meeting (RMM) Packs and other Risk Reports catering to various Risk sub-functions, Regulatory Risk Reporting etc. Create, manage, control, and publish reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including production of regulatory reporting. Collect, extract, evaluate and analyze submissions to identify errors, review and Challenge the submissions Communicate progress against plan effectively detailing barriers, concerns and potential solutions Escalate key issues in an effective way to ensure timely resolution Analyze Reporting packs across regions to foster process improvement, consistency in approaches and standardization Developing inferences and insights around different Business Metrics for Management Reporting For Meeting Packs Reporting - drive Agenda preparation & review with CRO\'s, draft minutes of meetings and confirm attendance/delegation, follow-up on actions from previous meetings etc. Service Excellence: Utilize and support the development of tools and/or system data sources to produce regular risk reports efficiently Drive procedural improvements to maximize delivery efficiency and improve service quality Requirements What you will need to succeed in the role: Eligibility Criteria - Master\'s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, or any other numerical discipline 2+ years of relevant work experience in Banking, Risk Reporting, Analytics, Risk management or governance, knowledge and understanding of financial services will be preferred. Strong analytical skills with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills are imperative, as are good tact and diplomacy, as the role requires regular dealing and relationship management with senior executives from within the HSBC Group like CRO\'s, COO\'s etc. Effective Time management & prioritization skills with an ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver against stringent deadlines Acts as a good team member and shows a positive collaborative attitude, promoting HSBC\'s values and behaviors Demonstrates self-awareness of own strengths and weaknesses, seeking feedback, building open and honest relationship with colleagues/managers Takes ownership of personal and professional development, increasing professional knowledge and skills experience Knowledge in MS Office Suite, MS PowerPoint & Excel / VBA is mandatory Practical and theoretical knowledge of programming tools, preferably with proficiency in any one or combination of tools such as Qliksense, Tableau, Qlikview etc. would be beneficial.
