Organizational Overview: The Performance Marketing Team is the engine behind business growth as it handles the majority of marketing activities. This includes targeting the right audience through campaigns, distributing content via channel marketing, conducting a thorough analysis of campaign launches and budgets, and also ensuring compliance via surveillance and governance all to maximize results and maintain a competitive edge. Together this team drives ROI and elevates Synchrony's brand presence in a dynamic market.Role Summary/Purpose:Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this organization, our Creative Technology and Development Team will be responsible for designing and delivering dynamic media ad formats, HTML email templates and optimized landing pages. As an Analyst, you will be responsible for the coding, producing, proofing, testing, and troubleshooting HTML email templates. As an ideal candidate, you should have in-depth knowledge of creative & brand guidelines and specifications that include email/graphic design, testing across devices/platforms to ensure a consistent email experience in webmail as well as other email applications such as Google Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.Key Responsibilities :Utilize HTML/CSS and email marketing best practices to create and code responsive email templatesDevelop and build responsive email code using design files such as PSD, Indd and XDModify existing responsive email templates based on clients requirementContribute to the continued modernization and evolution of the HTML templatesPerforming quality checks and peer reviews by adhering to brand guidelinesApply the best practices in email development, email compliance regulations, and accessibilityDevelop high-quality and optimized HTML emails in line with company goals and objectivesEnsuring identical rendering across browsers, ESPs, and devicesCode, setup, test, and debug ad hoc email templates with dynamic contentProactively work with teammates to improve processes and work methods for greater efficiencyKeep up with industry standards and new best practices in email developmentRequired Skills/Knowledge :Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of experience in Marketing or Operations or IT in the Financial Services industry.HTML, CSS, table-based layouts & mobile responsive coding experience IS A MUST.Experience with enterprise-level email platform and/or digital advertising/marketing platforms.General understanding of how a Marketing function provides service and support to business stakeholdersDetail oriented approachComfortable working with multiple prioritiesStrong communication, critical thinking, and process documentation skillsSuperior organization and coordination skills with a proactive approach to following up on requirementsTeam Player and ability to work in a highly collaborative environmentDemonstrated ability to maintain effective interactions across multiple relationships within the teamDesired Skills/Knowledge:Advanced knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSSProficient in responsive email design and front-end developmentExperience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, etc.)Relevant experience utilizing SalesForce Marketing Cloud or similar software. Agency experience preferredExtreme attention to detail and expert verbal and written communication skillsTesting and QA of email in multiple browsers, clients and ISPsExtensive experience with email testing tools, namely LitmusUnderstanding of dynamic content and personalizationTechnical understanding of platform-specific scripting languages (e.g., AMPscript, Freemarker, etc.) and/or JavaScript is a huge plusFamiliarity with email marketing and marketing automation technologyAbility and willingness to learn new technologies quicklyBe able to work independently as well as collaborate with other members of the email teamBe able to professionally interact with key stakeholders throughout the development processEligibility Criteria:Bachelors degree in any quantitative field with 0 to 2 years experience or in lieu of a degree, a high school certificate and additional 2 years of work experienceWork Timings:This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
