As a Factory Simulation Engineer specializing in Tecnomatix software, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and


optimizing simulation models to improve manufacturing processes within our organization. You will collaborate closely with global


manufacturing locations and cross-functional teams to analyze production systems, identify areas for improvement, and develop


simulations to test various scenarios and strategies for enhanced efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement within the organization. The role may involve occasional travel to production facilities for data collection, validation, and collaboration with onsite teams. Main Responsibilities:


• Simulation Model Development: Lead the design and development of simulation models using software to replicate

factory layouts, processes, and workflows accurately. Ensure that models capture the complexity of real-world manufacturing


environments and adhere to industry best practices. Experience in Tecnomatix software is desirable.

• Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement,

and propose solutions to optimize production flow and resource utilization.

• Scenario Testing & Analysis: Plan and execute simulation experiments to evaluate various scenarios, such as equipment

upgrades, layout changes, and production scheduling strategies. Analyze simulation results to assess their impact on


key performance indicators (KPIs) like productivity and performance. Provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data from simulations to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), such as cycle

time, throughput, inventory levels, and resource utilization, and provide insights for decision-making.

• Validation and Verification: Validate simulation models by comparing simulation results with real-world data and verifying

the accuracy of the models to ensure reliability and effectiveness.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with global Manufacturing & Engineering teams, including engineers, production managers,

and data analysts, to understand requirements, gather data, and incorporate feedback into simulation models.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignmenton simulation objectives and outcomes.

• Documentation: Document simulation methodologies, assumptions, and findings in a clear and concise manner.

Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate simulation results, insights, and


recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:

Master's degree (M.Tech/M.E/M.S/M.Sc) in Industrial Engineering /Manufacturing Engineering /Production


Engineering /Operations Research /Industrial Automation and Robotics or equivalent courses

• Three to five years of experience in developing factory/plant simulation models using simulation tools like SIEMENS

Tecnomatix.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods, with tools such as Excel, Python etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in model development and data analysis.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry or related field is desirable
