Position Title: Administrator Trade & Guarantee
Corporate Title: Administrator / GJB 8
Reporting to: Vice President / GJB 5
Location: Bangalore Job Profile Purpose of Role:

  • Responsible for smooth processing of Trade and Guarantee transactions as assigned by the TL / DH.
  • Demonstrate high level of accuracy and understanding levels of the transactions.
  • Assist TL / DH in overall activities of the team.
  • Responsible for preparing and sharing various MIS required for the department. Coordinate with CSD and Branch for smooth conduct of transactions
Main Responsibilities: The Trade Finance Administrator is responsible for:
  • Process all administrative tasks related to data capture (such as: scanning documents, documents reconciliation, Fi-bridge entries to paperless folder, printing, post, running reports etc)
Post duties and controls * Mechanical processing of; letters of credit (import and export and amendments), letters of guarantees / standby letters of credit (issuance) and fees in the banks systems, across all EMEA offices, supported. NB mechanical processing means the administration of; Swift creation, paper based instrument creation, fee management, paper file management, compliance controls, communications and system use/updates. Technical workability reviews to be developed.
  • Letter of credit acceptance.
  • Payments of TF instruments (including finance / discounts)
  • Computer literate and fully conversant with MS Office tools.]
  • Guarantee fee management
  • Documentary collection processing
  • Other reasonable tasks as requested

  • Ensure compliance with all Bank and Regulatory requirements in order to mitigate financial and compliance risks.

  • Effectively prioritize work tasks to ensure all transactions are processed to meet service level agreements with minimal supervision
  • Responsible for providing support to London, Paris, Dubai and MBE branches.
  • Report and control all pending items, and timely escalation of all matters requiring management attention.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
In this role, you will be responsible for Trade Finance products across MUFGs banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you. Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office).
  • Sound knowledge of Trade Finance products.
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with others.
  • Good understanding of basic banking products.]
  • Understanding of local relevant regulations.
  • Understanding of trade finance products; import and export LCs, collections, and financing.
  • Knowledge of UCP600 and other relevant ICC publications
  • Knowledge of money laundering controls relevant to trade finance.
  • Awareness of UK, Japan, and OFAC sanction policies
  • Understanding of formatting Swift messages
Education & Professional Qualifications:
  • Graduate and / or Postgraduate.
Certification in any Trade Finance areas would be preferred. CDCS Length & Type of Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
