  • Entity Maintenance (EM) is part of Data and Analytics Office (DAO) is responsible for set-up and maintenance of Client Entity Reference data and client unique identifiers in ERDS (Entity Reference Data System) Golden Source system. This involves setting up, independently validating the client legal entity status, and maintaining up to date client information for the Global Banking & Commercial banking (CMB) line of business.
  • The function leverages globally consistent operating principles and a standard service proposition to deliver high-quality client data and its ongoing maintenance throughout the client life cycle with HSBC. The function operates globally as one integrated team with to provide service across the group.
  • The function supports the onboarding process by undertaking initial client entity legal verification and then subsequently setting up trading accounts and loading settlement instructions. The function is supported by a hub-spoke model, whereby teams undertake all the processing work for over 56 countries and onshore hub provides business relationship management and support. Given the nature of the data function maintains, the team is also supporting client data readiness for Global Standards, various regulatory demands impacting GBM business including client off boarding.

Key priorities include:
  • Actively support HSBC People agenda such as Diversity & Inclusion, HSBC Exchange, etc.
  • Nil issues relating to HSBC Value and Core Standard highlighted/identified.
  • Individual Personal Development Plan (PDP) mandatory to be in place by Q1. Own your career and discuss progress with the department leads on regular frequency.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship with the requesting community
Governance and Committee Memberships (membership of ExCos, Risk Management Meeting)
  • Nil breaches on conduct, data, and Information Control policy within the process. Immediate escalation on control failures and issues identified, followed by timely DES submission.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)
  • Certified as approver.
  • Ensure to support team being a Data Domain Specialist.
  • Responsible for Delivering high quality Data with best-in-class results.
  • Attend & evidence monthly workshop/session involvement to encourage improvement ideas & brainstorming.
  • Maintain Quality Maker checker process to ensure first process resolution.
  • Actively participate by supporting the execution of selected idea of the quarter by the L5/L6.
  • Proactively seek out & partake in Data Remediation bulk requests (i.e., CBS Adoption, ERDS-CC Integration), completing deliveries within agreed deadline with nil breaches and timely escalation of any exception/deviation
  • Ensure MI Metrics are accurately maintained at individual level to lead to correct reporting overall.
  • 100% completion rate of mandatory training and Global Standards programme training, before due date.
  • Strong understanding of MI generated in the process. Efficient use to improve client satisfaction.
  • Understanding of RCM pack, Regulatory reporting (BCAN, HKMA, EMIR, etc.) & DES. Efficient use to improve client satisfaction.
  • Able to walk through various MI metrics in team\'s huddle/meeting/when requested.
  • At least 1 MI presentation/walkthrough to be done per person in 2022 during team meeting/huddle.
  • Flexible with shift timing rotation and providing extended support when business require.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:
  • Candidates (internal/external) have 2+years of experience in client onboarding process.
  • Be well versed with CDS \xe2\x80\x93 Entity policies and procedures.
  • Fully understands the use of data within the trade life cycle and its impact to the Client.
  • Possess good knowledge of operational workflow and systems within Client Data Services.
  • Knowledge of various regulatory requirements impacting Client Data Services.
  • Ability to learn quickly and transfers knowledge appropriately.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Been an approver in any asset class or region.
  • Ability to build rapport with variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify procedural gaps and suggest changes.
  • Well versed with the Risk and Controls of the process.
  • Good Team Player, Self-motivator, problem solver & a strong eye for details / accuracy.
  • Experience in training techniques, methods, feedback delivery and evaluation.
  • Analytical approach to assessing and reporting the impact of training on business performance.
  • Ability to effectively lead, coach and motivate performance.
  • Proven ability to analyze issues, organize and proactively manage change.
  • Service oriented and customer focused.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PPT, VISIO.
  • Knowledge of regulatory drivers such as the Dodd Frank Act, HKMA, EMIR, FATCA, Volcker, MRUD, MAS, ASIC etc
What additional skills will be good to have?
  • Prototyping, experimentation, development, and implementation of various analytical techniques using tools such as SQL, Python, Qliksense.
  • Identifying new opportunities and providing expertise to support delivery of complex analytics use cases.
  • Cross-disciplinary skills to lead data exploratory analysis, run POCs and prototypes, having a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle.
  • Experience in engaging with and communicating to technical and non-technical audiences and capable of identifying the best data solution to solve business problems.
  • Broad understanding of different analytical techniques (e.g., NLP, Optimisation, Classification, regression) and data types (structured, unstructured, semi-structured) and their utilisation.
  • Strong quantitative background e.g., Mathematics, Statistics and Probability and be able to perform complex queries using Data Science tools e.g., SQL, Python, Qliksense.
