OVERVIEW:Contract Deal Desk analyst will report to the Deal Desk Manage, supporting all sales teams.The position will provide support throughout the deal cycle, from quote creation and approval, through to order booking in Salesforce.com. The role will work across multiple departments, across globally. The individual will be responsible for analyzing and entering customer contracts into the PeopleSoft Financial System and assisting with fulfilling and maintaining orders in the internal Order Management systems. The successful candidate will have an acute attention to detail and the ability to research and analyze issues to the point of resolution.Success in the role requires a team player approach, ability to work across multiple departments with disparate needs, creativity and analytical thinking to proactively identify new and different ways to crafting deals whilst adhering to pricing and finance rules of engagement.OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Respond to, manage and facilitate pricing requests from the field including exception approval request, special pricing, legal terms and or deal structures in a timely and efficient manner from receipt to resolution.
  • Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and consistency in the pricing process
  • Responsible for understanding the process flow and integration of the CPQ quoting system, contract system (Apttus), Salesforce and PeopleSoft
  • Confirm that terms, values, products, pricing, and other contract-related matters are compliant with company guidelines; work alongside Pricing, Negotiations, Revenue, and Sales teams to rectify any issues that may arise
  • Accurate and prompt analysis, along with the entry of contracts and customers into PeopleSoft; this includes business units, products, pricing, term dates, deferred dates, commissions, titles, site id's, line statuses, referrals, the correct spelling of customers\' names, contacts, addresses, zip codes, and countries
  • Accurate and prompt delivery of invoices to internal and external customers
  • Understand basic accounting and revenue rules to restructure contracts according to company guidelines
  • Send order notifications to PSG, Sales, and Order Administration teams
  • Research and resolve contract/data entry and invoice issues in a timely manner that arise from our various internal departments and our global customer base
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of experience with BA/BS degree
  • Demonstrate experience collaborating with Finance, legal and sales
  • Must be comfortable with databases (preferably Salesforce.com)
  • Experience working in order management, deals desk or similar role
  • Advanced Excel skills and competent in Power Point
  • Demonstrate ability to think critically
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
