  • The Global Security Maintenance team is responsible for the setup and maintenance of descriptive security information and characteristics for portfolio securities in support of processing, pricing, research, and reporting purposes. GSM Analyst is responsible for the combination of maintenance activities in support of the portfolio management, trading, investment compliance and performance with a focus on supporting all asset classes and providing value added services to front office and back-office clients on their data inquiries. The expectation for this role is to carry out day to day tasks in GSM. The GSM Analyst is expected to maintain accurate Security Master reference data in enterprise application. This person ensures compliance with GRD policies, procedures, and internal controls. This position requires working in night shift timings.


Production Support (New Setups and Maintenance):

  • Create/Open new Institutions (Issuers) and Instruments (securities) in the Enterprise Security Master System within SLAs

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of security data of all U.S. domestic and international asset classes covering various security types such as Money Market, Equities, Debt, as well as Alternative investments that are used in multiple internal downstream applications.

  • Ensure the security data is accurately entered/represented in our Enterprise Security Master System prior to sending the information downstream to our internal clients.

  • The analyst performs daily, weekly, and monthly assigned tasks, in accordance with team policies and procedures; works under the guidance of other team members to ensure the timely and accurate execution of tasks.

  • Resolve exceptions for all new securities and updates originated during various vendor feed processes and ensure that all static / reference data is accurately maintained on the systems post performing quality checks.

  • Performs all assigned work, in accordance with department procedures; uses checklist to sign off on tasks.

  • Meet Client requests relating to Instruments by providing relevant and accurate data on time.

  • Ensure procedures and checklists are followed and completed.

  • Ensure services are delivered to clients within agreed SLA\xe2\x80\x99s.

  • Resolves and escalates any production or client issues.


Risk Management & process improvements:

  • Participates in projects, as required, and directed by GSM Management.

  • Escalate critical issues to management in a timely manner.

  • Share new exceptions with team to avoid similar issues.

  • Escalate potential issues at the earliest possible opportunity.

  • Highlight issues and report root cause(s) and trends to management.

  • Ensure functions are conducted in compliance within GSM policy, procedures, and checklists.

  • Assist senior analysts and supervisor in strategic and tactical projects/initiatives.


Training & Development (Employee Engagement):

  • To get trained on all activities in process/function and have peer to peer training to develop expertise.

  • Create and maintain procedures for any new activity or enhancements in the process.

  • Periodic review of existing procedure documents to ensure that there are effective controls in place.
