About the role

Candidate Focus & Challenge – Review the standard role profile and capture some brief headlines describing what will specifically be expected of this role over the next 12 months (e.g. if Programme /Project based role consider describing the project scope & results expected)
  • Develop and maintain a catalogue of reports in Workday, Saba and other applications, ensuring that reports stay in sync with data security and change control requirements.
  • Design and develop HR reports based on ad hoc requests from the business while meeting established Service Level Agreements and following internal procedures on quality, data security and timelines.
  • Support the HR function by ensuring that the process of completing the transactions on behalf of HR/managers within Workday is operating efficiently and stays in sync with AZ internal practices.
  • Working with HR Services and Workday, to understand their needs and ensure the team and processes are ready to support them
  • Complete mass uploads in Workday for any mass updates required on HR core data
  • Build processes to validate transactions are completed correctly in Workday
  • Act as the Authority for global restructuring processes, and other OM transactions
  • Assist in data validation during enhancements or major system releases
  • Collaborate with Information technology team on requests that have dependencies on technical system support such as system security or configuration.
  • Validate with the end user that the report fulfils customer requirements and is aligned to standard reporting practices. Focus will be on delivering valuable HR data to the business with concerted effort on simplification and efficiency.
  • Find opportunities to eliminate or combine redundant and not fit for purpose reports.
  • Support the maintenance, development and delivery of training materials for management information processes and dashboards.
  • Provide Subject Matter support on Project teams where data design is required or questioned.
  • Provide reporting domain expertise to project initiatives and provide required reporting inputs to recurring HR initiatives including annual rewarding performance process.
  • Seek and recommend / implement continual improvements to processes that have been deployed
  • Highlights areas of risk in business as usual operations and finds opportunities to mitigate the risk.
Candidate Knowledge, Skills & Experience – Review the standard role profile and capture any additional critical knowledge, skill and experience demands relative to this specific role (e.g. if Programme Manager for SAP consider previous experience of performing SAP projects) Add references to specific leadership, core or professional capabilities which will be recruited against and integral to the job.
  • Significant HR system maintenance experience (for example SAP / PeopleSoft / Oracle / Workday)
  • Practical experience providing technical/functional systems advice and solving complex HR issues
  • Experience in EIB’s (Mass uploads), ideally in Workday with experience in Sup Orgs, Position Management and related activities.
  • Experience of Reporting design, development, deployment and support for HRIS systems, ideally in Workday with experience in creation of calculated fields and utilisation of Advanced and Matrix report types.
  • Experience of Saba or other Learning Management Systems beneficial
  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively in distributed team environment supporting workers in many countries and with multiple cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks virtually
  • Experience in Microsoft applications, critically Microsoft Excel
  • Highly developed communications, organisation and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate fluently in English
  • Demonstrable ability to work with confidential data, only releasing reports to those legally entitled to the content.
  • Experience of delivering against Service Level agreements
  • Ability to think analytically and effectively problem solve using creative solutions
  • Knowledge of testing and change documentation
  • Data Analysis experience
  • Sound knowledge of the above mentioned applications
