:What You\'ll DoYou will be reporting to the Manager, Compliance. You will work from the Pune officeAvalara for Accountants is instrumental in generating revenue and growth by providing essential returns filing services for accounting firms. Our compliance efforts are structured around three main pillars of firm success: Returns Experience, Returns Management, and Client Advocacy. As an Analyst for Avalara for Accountants, you will enhance Avalara\'s Returns Services, steering the development of features and future automation to promote "customer self-service." Compliance is a significant revenue driver through our monthly sales and use tax returns filing services for customers.What You\'ll Need to be Successful

• Provide guidance to Accounting Firms using Avalara for Accountants Software.
• Maintain client filing calendar information.
• Research and resolve jurisdictional notices on behalf of clients.
• Perform QA related to sales/use tax content and form changes.
• Prepare reconciliations or other pre/post-filing tasks as assigned.
• Identify ways to improve processes or technology to better serve our Accounting Firms.
• Manage a select group of accounting firms as their primary contact.

About the Team

• You should have 5+ years of experience in preparing and filing sales and use tax returns.
• You should have a Bachelor\'s degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent career experience.
• You should have an analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• You should have experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel (functions like Power Pivot, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with a Big 4 firm, a large corporate tax department of a multinational company, or large ERP integration.
