This role is part of a team of four dedicated to formalizing responsible AI practices to ensure the ethical use of AI throughout the organization. They will strive to uphold the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI systems by providing tailored governance that fosters innovation while safeguarding customer trust and data integrity.Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this role is to support the work required to formalize and ongoing delivery of an AI governance framework and processes. This includes responsibility for executing and improving processes and procedures with occasional guidance from more senior level AI governance associates.
  • This role solves moderately complex problems while completing both tactical and non-tactical activities in support of the successful delivery of assigned governance processes.
  • The individual in this role continues to grow his/her understanding across the various tools, frameworks, and processes supported by the team, including the key integration points with other parts of Technology. He/she receives occasional guidance and direction from more senior level associates on the team.
  • With a focus on AI governance, this role completes activities that help drive awareness and adherence to AI Governance guidelines, policies, and standards. Tasks include collecting and reviewing metrics, monitoring programs for compliance, and performing risk assessments, and working with others to implement appropriate controls. They run the day-to-day operations of the team and ensure AI systems comply with responsible AI practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Partner with teams across the organization to develop & maintain the IA governance frameworks, policies and guidelines that make up the responsible AI program
  • Maintains awareness of responsible AI frameworks, related regulatory landscape, and industry standards
  • Drive the implementation and operationalization of defined processes to ensure responsible AI practices are followed
  • Assess AI systems for potential ethical, legal, and operational risks and ensure concerns such as bias, privacy, and transparency are addressed
  • Document and manage decisions, risks, mitigations and compensating controls
  • Increase visibility and tracking of AI used across the organization
  • Continuous monitoring of AI systems and report on program practices and adherence of the framework to key stakeholders
  • Escalation of issues and concerns as needed
  • Drive awareness of responsible AI practices through education
  • Participates in regulatory reviews and internal audits
Years of Experience
  • 2 years of Work experience
Education Qualification & Certifications
  • Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
Required Minimum Qualifications
  • IT experience in the retail industry (Preferred)
  • Experience in compliance and/or regulatory related area (audits, controls, assessments, risk assessments, or remediation management) (Preferred)
  • Experience developing governance assurance policies, standards, awareness training, or equivalent issuances (Preferred)
  • Experience conducting assessments or technical reviews to analyze risk (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of technology solution development lifecycle (Preferred)
  • Experience documentating/tracking of standards, exceptions, mitigation items (Preferred)
  • Exposure to AI/ML development practices and model management (Preferred)
  • Understanding of LLMs and conventional AI models (Preferred)
