Finance Operations Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) is looking for a Sr. Manager, FOAA Projects. FOAA is a global team which is responsible for closing, reporting, analytics and balance sheet substantiation of ~90% of Amazon Balance Sheet.
- In this role, you will be scaling a team of Financial program managers (FPMs), Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs) and System Engineers to enable on boarding of new businesses in the Amazons Finance and Accounting Systems.
- Team\'s mandate is to partner with stakeholders to intake accounting requirements definition and helping business teams model their accounting use cases in the Amazon Financial and Accounting System.
- This team will own the end-to-end process of implementing, testing and deployment of configurations to onboard Amazon businesses onto these systems
- In FOAA, you will have opportunities to solve significant business problems through innovative technology and revolutionary customer experiences. You will also work on strategic projects to define and create brand new processes.

- The successful candidate must be able to think strategically, perform dive deep analytics on existing processes, identify re-engineering activities, and drive enterprise level transformation initiatives.
- Candidate should have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments.
- The role will be a team leader is expected to manage cross border team of Business Intelligence Engineers, Financial Planning Manager and System Analyst. The role requires a self-starter with the ability to be both strategic and analytical in their support of new initiatives.
- The candidate must have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies that are grounded in data-based recommendations. This role also has regular interaction with senior leaders and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The candidate should have exceptional business judgement including financial acumen to quickly assess the viability of key decisions.
- You will be able to anticipate and make trade-offs, as well as balance the business and customer needs versus technical constraints.
- You have the ability to write compelling business cases quantifying improvements in KPIs measuring customer experience and operational execution.
- The ability to work in a global matrix organization, across functions, and at all levels will be critical to success in this role.
