Job Description


Key Responsibilities Strategic

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive customer strategy for Company along with identification of key accounts and development of detailed plans for ensuring key customer acquisition, retention & relationship building
  • Drive lead-initiation with current and new customers and evaluate alignment with capabilities by thorough examination of risks, potential upside and customersxe2x80x99 requirements
  • Build, nurture & enhance relationships with existing & potential new customers & partners
  • Enhance Industriesxe2x80x99 visibility & credibility within the Agri Inputs Custom Synthesis & Manufacturing community
  • Lead the identification of trendsetter ideas through researching thought leadership literature, industry specific events, publications, and announcements
  • Execute complex service agreements, contract amendments, renewals, and extensions and manage their effective administration Operational & Financial
  • Maximize revenue for the Unit driven by new sales orders and fulfilment of existing sales orders, along with ensuring key customer acquisition, retention & relationship building in sync with organizational strategy
  • Lead the streamlining of new customer orders by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and ensuring alignment between company capabilities & contracted customer requirements
  • Ensure high standards of quality, responsiveness and service excellence while interacting with customers over proposals, queries, reports or any other deliverables
  • Ensure customer queries are responded to in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Lead implementation of customer relationship management plan and customer acquisition plan
  • Establish evaluation criteria for identification of potential clients and preparation of RFPs
  • Drive the development and implementation customer relationship programs with key accounts including the use of score cards to gauge performance and the health of relationship
  • Attend industry meets, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market developments and trends
  • Communicate effectively with the client and respond to complex queries with regards to contract obligation People
  • Recommend initiatives for building requisite skills & competencies for example, preparation of RFPs, contract development, understanding contract clauses, terms and conditions negotiations, rate negotiations etc. through focused professional development and capability building initiatives for the Business Development function
  • Review workforce capacity gaps within the Business Development function and ensure timely recruitment in alignment with HR policies
  • Actively sponsor, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the Business Development team
  • Ensure stability & sustainability through a robust succession planning process to meet current & future staffing requirements in the Business Development function
  • Recognize & reward excellent performers & affirm key contributions of employees toward the achievement of goals & objectives of the Business Development function
  • Inspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to PIxe2x80x99s values, vision & mission and exemplifying effective leadership, initiative and persistence needed to accomplish goals and objectives
