Join our 2,000-strong team at Aptiv Technical Center in India to advance your career, grow and make a real difference.Your RoleThe Autonomous Driving Feature Development Engineer will work in a team environment to develop next-generation products for automotive ADAS, active safety, and AD vehicle systems. This will include design, development, and testing of feature/function algorithms, behavior, trajectory planning, assessment & vehicle control.

• Develop, code, and maintain ADAS, active safety, and automated vehicle behavior, planning, behavior, assessment and vehicle control algorithms
• Develop technical specifications and DFMEAs
• Develop and execute functional test plans
• Conduct detailed performance analysis
• Work with colleagues and customers to develop and implement enhancements to address real-world performance issues
• Complete assigned individual and team tasks
• Support advanced development process activities (analysis, design, reviews, verification testing

Your BackgroundKey ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or related technical field
• 3-7 years of programming experience in: C/C++,MATLAB, and Simulink modeling
• 3+ years of development and testing of algorithms and code experience (can include industry, academic or internship)
• Strong in control theory & systems design
• Excellent data extraction & analysis skills (MATLAB, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in EEE ,Instrumentation ,ECE Engineering, Computer Science, related technical
• 3+ years of development and testing of algorithms and code experience (can include industry, academic or internship) \xe2\x80\x93 C/C++.
• Superior communication & presentation skills
• Background in automotive radar, vision, lidar, sensor fusion
• Background in optimization, path planning and advanced filtering methods
• Background in object detection and tracking algorithm design
• ISO 26262 / Functional Safety functional expertise
