Position Summary:

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in the area of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Data Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate level courses, conducting research, and contributing to the overall growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching:
• Deliver high-quality lectures and laboratory sessions on a range of AI/ML & Data Science subjects, including:
• Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals
• Machine Learning Algorithms
• Deep Learning
• Data Mining
• Natural Language Processing
• Computer Vision
• Big Data Analytics
• Cloud Computing
• Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies, including the use of technology-enhanced learning tools.
• Guide and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic pursuits.
• Assess student learning through examinations, assignments, and projects.

• Research:
• Conduct independent and collaborative research in areas of AI/ML & Data Science.
• Publish research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences.
• Guide research scholars in their Ph.D. and M.Tech. theses.
• Apply for and secure research grants from funding agencies.

• Departmental Contributions:
• Actively participate in departmental activities, including curriculum development, academic planning, and student development programs.
• Contribute to the development of industry collaborations and research partnerships.
• Provide academic and career guidance to students.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science/Computer Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Data Science from a reputed university.
• Strong academic record with a proven track record of research and publications.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level (preferred).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, and relevant AI/ML tools and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience in working with industry projects and collaborations (desirable).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in working with big data platforms and cloud computing environments.
• Knowledge of current trends and advancements in AI/ML & Data Science.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong commitment to teaching and research excellence.
