1) Job Purpose



To verify and ensure quality control and assurance in the plant. To monitor the performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. To maintain all quality documents as per establish standards. To ensure regular interaction with customer in respect of quality of product and new product development. To ensure documentation for AS9100, ISO14001 and ISO45001 internal & external audits and customer audits.

Job Context:

Hindalco-Almex Aerospace Limited is the first industry in India to produce super large diameter aerospace Aluminium alloy Billets / Slabs. These will be used for aerospace industries in the country and abroad. It is a joint venture company of Hindalco and Almex, USA. Hindalco-Almex Aerospace Limited has a current aluminum Billets/Slab capacity of 12000 MTPA in the first phase of commissioning. The capacity shall eventually increase to 46000 MTPA by near 2010.

Job Challenges

: Verify and ensure all processes are conforming to established quality standards and required customer specifications. Monitor the performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Interact with customers for quality-related requirements and provide a solution to customer feedback. Participate in the development of product specifications.

Accountability

Monitor the performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Ensure timely completion of quality inspection of the product. Ensure availability and upkeep of all required equipment for quality process. Ensure timely completion of corrective actions for any quality issues throughout the production process. Participate in the development of product specifications. Inspect all product returns, analyze the defect, and document the findings. Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, and finished goods. Analyze the data to find areas for improvement. Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.

Quality and Customer Interaction

Ensure the quality of the product meets customer requirements. Verify and ensure all processes are conforming to established quality standards and required customer specifications. Interaction with customers for quality-related requirements. Interaction with customers for any product quality query raised by customers. Investigate customer complaints if any, regarding quality issues and develop a solution. Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments.

Documentation and Audits

Ensure all quality documents are in place required for the dispatch of material. Ensure documentation for AS9100, ISO14001, and ISO45001 internal & other external audits and customer audits. Ensure all SOPs for the quality process are updated and in place.

People Development and Training

Ensure quality process training of technicians and staff members. Supervise inspectors, technicians, and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.

B.E./B.Tech (Dist Education)

3-6 Years
