• Research & Development:
• Conduct field trials and research to assess the efficacy, safety, and sustainability of agrochemical products across various crop types and climatic zones.
• Design, implement, and analyse experiments on crop protection, soil health, and nutrient management solutions.
• Lead product development projects from ideation to commercialization, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Product and Technical Support:
• Provide technical support to the sales team by delivering in-depth agronomic knowledge of products to customers, addressing application techniques, crop response, and pest management.
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops/webinars to educate customers and internal teams on agronomic best practices and product benefits.
• Data Collection and Analysis:
• Use data analytics to interpret field data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations for product improvements.
• Leverage digital agriculture tools (e.g., drones, sensors, precision ag software) to optimise product applications and efficacy.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Collaborate with external researchers, universities, and agricultural extension services to validate and enhance product performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with growers, distributors, and industry experts to stay informed on current trends and customer needs.
• Regulatory and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure all agronomic practices and recommendations meet environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Assist in preparing regulatory submissions and documentation required for product registration and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in agronomy within the agrochemical, crop protection, or agriculture industry.
• Proficiency in agronomic software, data analysis tools, and digital agriculture technologies.
• Strong knowledge of crop protection products, soil fertility, pest management, and sustainable agricultural practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with precision agriculture and digital farming tools.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks for agrochemicals in [specific region/country].
