Agrim Wholesale - Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Manager
We at AGRIM are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Compliance Manager to join our organization. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing license requirements from the government, tracking developments in rules and regulations, and ensuring the validity of licenses across all states. This role specifically focuses on regulatory requirements for subcategories of business, such as agrochemicals, crop nutrition, and seeds in India. The successful candidate will also be responsible for liaising with government authorities for license procurement and management.
Key Role Areas:
1. License Management: Oversee and manage all license requirements from the government, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
2. Regulatory Tracking: Monitor and stay updated on the latest developments in rules and regulations pertaining to the agrochemical, crop nutrition, and seed industries in India.
3. License Validity: Ensure the timely renewal and validity of licenses across all states of operation.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for each subcategory of business, including agrochemicals, crop nutrition, and seeds. Implement necessary measures to ensure compliance within the organization.
5. Liaison with Government Authorities: Act as the primary point of contact for government authorities regarding license procurement and management. Build and maintain effective relationships with relevant government agencies.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of licenses, permits, and related documentation. Prepare reports and submit necessary compliance documentation to regulatory authorities as required.
7. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure compliance requirements are met throughout the organization.
8. Compliance Audits: Assist in conducting internal compliance audits to assess the effectiveness of license management processes. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
9. Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs on license compliance and regulatory requirements for employees across the organization.
10. Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging regulatory issues related to agrochemicals, crop nutrition, and seeds.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, regulatory affairs, agriculture) is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Compliance Manager or in a similar role, with a focus on license management and regulatory compliance.
3. Sound knowledge of license requirements and regulatory frameworks for agrochemicals, crop nutrition, and seeds in India.
4. Familiarity with government agencies and processes involved in license procurement and management.
5. Strong understanding of Indian laws, regulations, and industry standards related to the specified subcategories of business.
6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with government authorities and internal stakeholders.
7. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools is a plus.
-Travel is required for 30% of the times as per business needs.
