We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead our Agile teams in delivering high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, excellent facilitation skills, and a passion for helping teams succeed. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for guiding teams through the Scrum framework, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that Agile practices are followed to achieve project goals.
• Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate key Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Team Support: Act as a servant leader to the Scrum team, removing impediments, facilitating collaboration, and promoting a positive team environment.
• Agile Coaching: Provide guidance and coaching on Agile practices and Scrum principles to team members and stakeholders. Help teams improve their Agile maturity.
• Backlog Management: Work with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
• Sprint Execution: Monitor the progress of sprints, track team performance, and ensure that deliverables are met within the agreed-upon timeframes.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and external stakeholders. Communicate progress, manage expectations, and address concerns.
• Metrics and Reporting: Track key Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and team performance. Provide reports and insights to stakeholders and management.
• Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve Agile processes and practices. Implement best practices and drive process efficiencies.
• Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts within the team, promoting a culture of openness and collaboration.
• Documentation: Maintain necessary Scrum documentation, including sprint goals, team agreements, and process improvements.
Core/Must have skills
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment.
Scrum Master Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification is required. Advanced certifications (CSPO, PSM II) are a plus.
Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
Facilitation Skills: Proven ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and guide teams through Agile processes.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Tools: Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Team Collaboration: Ability to foster collaboration and build relationships within a cross-functional team.
Good to have skills
Advanced Certifications: Advanced Scrum Master certifications (CSM Advanced, PSM II, or equivalent) are preferred.
Agile Coaching: Experience in coaching teams and organizations on Agile best practices and methodologies.
Project Management: Knowledge of project management principles and experience in managing large, complex projects.
Change Management: Experience in managing change and facilitating Agile transformations in organizations.
