Below is the detailed JD: You will work in close contact with After Sales department, working on the development of the vehicle diagnostic tools for the workshops. Basic understanding of software programming languages Conversant with Softing (Monaco & Venice), Vector applications, or similar Experience authoring OTX content using the Grade-X IDE Familiar with project/issue tracking software tools such as Jira and Knowledge on automotive diagnostics standards (UDS, ODX, OTX) Delivery of dealer diagnostic content for the client (including Lincoln and joint ventures) vehicle programs globally. The ideal candidate is one which has a vehicle repair background on both mechanical and electronic vehicle systems plus is proficient with using a computer and has experience with software basic languages and have authored ISIP documents. Candidate could create logical steps to lead technicians to identify reasons for failure. Experience: 0-3 years Role and responsibility: Develop aftersales diagnostic requirements and controls design Troubleshooting of diagnostic fault codes Perform analysis, resolution, and tracking of defects to closure Coordinate with R&D, Production and Aftersales team Must Have: System knowledge - EV/Powertrain/Safety/Body/Chassis/Telematics control units GradeX/BDX/Diagnostic link/any Aftersales Diagnostic development tools Knowledge on Scanner tool/Tester tool Knowledge on CANdela Studio (CDD), CAESAR (CBF)/Softing (smrd), ODX Knowledge on Diagnostics (UDS 14229) and serial Com (CAN,LIN, FlexRay, MOST, Ethernet,J1939) Knowledge on Vehicle architecture and schematic (Wiring Diagram) Flashing of ECU Experience in vehicle testing Experience with revision control tools, issue-tracking tools The mission of this role is to develop diagnostic methods and operations to be integrated with aftermarket diagnostic tools and systems and to support the integration of new technologies to improve our diagnostic tools using modern programming languages and techniques. Responsibilities: Development: Develop diagnostic method information (fault tracing procedure) and register it in the diagnostic specifications for a given vehicle/powertrain function. Create and maintain diagnostic operation specifications. Develop test and calibration operations on vehicle and component levels. Secure and synchronize special tool needs related to methods/operations together with Global Special Tool Coordinator. Support the development of new or changed functionality in diagnostic tools and systems related to diagnostic data. Be a part of developing future diagnostic content technologies (e.g. automated generated information). Be a part of developing new data structure for future diagnostics content information. Implement Solution and Follow-up Send information to work package for implementation. Support implementation teams with technical knowledge related to the diagnostic data. Perform internal review of delivery from supplier/work package. Analyse test results and manage corrections of issues. Implement test and calibration operations based on specifications. Quality assurance Secure review and approval of all new and modified specifications. Perform unit tests of the implemented method/operation and report software and system bugs found. Secure verification of the implemented method/operation. Ensure that the methods/operations fulfill good design practice and service information warning Guidelines. Competencies/Experience: MSc. or BSc. Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, Engineering Physics or similar Programming skills (HW close or Object Oriented) and/or Distributed Systems competence Automotive knowledge, Vehicle/Electronic architecture UDS on CAN, Canoe, Canalyzer and/or JAVA Script, Python, Dev Ops, Azure, Polymer, Virtual methods Data Analytics, Machine learning Model-Based Design
