Impact
We are looking for an Automation (QA) engineer to develop and execute automated tests to ensure product quality.
QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)
The Job
Design, create and maintain automated test cases and determine priority for the test cases and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
Participate in Agile working practices such as daily scrum meetings, sprint planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives
Maintain automated regression suites/packages to be compliant with changing requirements and features
The candidate should be able to work independently to identify test cases/test scripts from requirements and map test cases/scripts back to the original requirement
Understand business objectives and build alignment and buy-in cross-functionally.
Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into manual and/or automatable scenarios.
Developing and Executing the Cross Browser (browsers like Safari, Chrome, Mobile browsers) testing automation
Required Qualifications & Skills
This role requires a talented self-directed individual with a strong work ethic and the following skills:
Must to have
Minimum of 5+ years of experience with test automation.
Minimum of 8 years of overall Software QA experience.
Strong Experience in REST/Soap API Automation using HTTP-Client / Restassured.
Strong Experience in any test framework TestNG, RSpec, Pyunit, Nose etc. Strong Experience in Web/UI testing, Selenium and Cypress automation. Strong Experience in designing, developing, debugging and executing automation scripts.
Hands on programming experience in any Programming and Scripting language Java, Python, Ruby etc.
Understand functional/technical specifications and Analyse server logs. Experience in cloud-based application AWS and Docker containerization. Knowledge of testing one or more of the following: API interfaces, databases/data stores, analytics.
Experience working on large scale distributed systems or relational/NoSQL databases.
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
Estimate, Priorities, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
Well versed with writing test cases and bug logging.
Look for potential quality issues proactively.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skills Demonstrated competence and ability to be self-motivated when analyzing problems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to be an outstanding team player.
Ability to learn new frameworks and environments.
Experience with Agile, continuous integration, and dealing with ambiguity. Adept at asking for help when needed.
Experience in CI-CD tools like Jenkins is plus.
Experience in JMeter and performance testing is a plus.
Hands on experience in Linux/Unix commands is a plus.
Working experience with a remote team is a big plus.
