About the roleWe are looking for a Service Delivery Advisor role in Accounting Services. The person will be responsible for the delivery of Group Services GSL (Reconciliations) process from our India delivery center. He/she needs to execute related control/operational activities. This role is a mix of handling day to day activities and managing stakeholders. This role will be based in Gurgaon India.What the role entailsReporting line: Sr. Advisor- Service DeliveryScope: Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:
Ensuring monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations are performed/reviewed in accordance with established SLAs, quality. Activities primarily includes performing reconciliation quality checks.
Managing escalations, process standardization activities, filling the gaps between regional operations etc.
Contributing to clear balance sheet reconciliation open items and ensuring ageing of such open item are under control.
Will be responsible for Internal (SOX)/external (STAT) audit support exercise.
Address immediate day-to-day issues containment. Provide solution to their long-term resolution in alignment with the FAS (Finance and Accounting Services) operating model:
Liaise with stakeholders as necessary: FAS teams, BUs, IT, Compliance, other functions etc...
Prepare/provide formal feedback to Business Units/Product Group on escalated issues.
Engage BUs and other stakeholders to share best practices and global processes.
Identify Improvement areas and implement them on global processes as per the Group Services FAS Operating Model
Participate in Projects/Initiatives required from Business Units/Product Groups or other Rio Tinto functions.
Ensuring documentation (policies, procedures etc.) is appropriately maintained.
Provide trainings to new joiners and share best practices for improving the service delivery and increasing the quality of standards.
Participate and lead in projects on new upcoming additional scope in Group Services FAS: new customers, scope (i.e. Business Units and processes not currently covered) and new services.
Ensure Reconciliations policy and procedure documentation (process DTPs, Handbook) is maintained and reviewed annually.
About YourselfWe are looking for passionate candidates having:To be successfully considered for this role, candidate should have below qualifications and skills.
Educational Qualification:
Commerce Graduate, CA- Inter, Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Finance), CPA or equivalent will be an asset.
Professional Experience and Technical skills:
Minimum 7-9 years\' experience in F&A roles (GL close, Reconciliations, Bank Recon, consolidations etc.)
Have good command on P/L, Balance Sheet, Consolidation processes. Understand the impacts of various financial entries.
Experience in Financial processes: General Accounting, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Intercompany Accounting, RPA, controllership is required.
2-4 years hands-on experience in SAP and Blackline is must.
Strong technical skills in MS Office suite, proficiency in excel is a
Working knowledge of PBI dashboard is desirable.
Soft Skills:
Ability to establish and develop good Relationship with stakeholders.
Experience in Global shared services working model, handling multiple regions (captive and outsourced)
Candidate should be a self-starter.
Ability to adapt to change and work autonomously and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication, good presentation skills
