We are looking for a Advisor - Fixed Assets for a Service Delivery role in Accounting Services division based out of Gurgaon.
What the role entails
The person will be responsible for the delivery of Group Services GSL Fixed Assets process from our India delivery center. He/she needs execute related control/operational activities. This role is a mix of handling day to day activities, managing customers & stakeholders.
Reporting line: Snr. Advisor - Fixed Assets
Scope: Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:
• Managing the fixed assets register, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of all fixed assets.
• Calculating depreciation and amortization schedules in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Reviewing and analyzing capital expenditure requests related to fixed assets.
• Collaborating with other departments such as finance, procurement, and operations to ensure proper accounting treatment of fixed assets.
• Participating in audits and providing necessary documentation and support related to fixed assets.
• Recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fixed asset management.
• Staying updated on regulatory changes and accounting standards relevant to fixed assets accounting.
• Responsible for managing timely processing of request for project creation, modification, and new capitalization, DFA adherence for Disposals.
• Perform and review monthly Fixed Assets account reconciliation on Blackline.
• Keeping a check on WIP/AUC account; ensure account is closely monitored for balance ageing and clean up.
• Ownership of the financial number in capital module at month end, being able to explain and provide commentary for key Fixed Asset account movements.
• Responsible for timely execution of Asset Verification and life review on annual basis
• Ensuring Fixed Assets policies and procedures are adhered to and performing a strong review mechanism for all key tasks.
• Liaising with customers (BU, FBPs, Auditors, Finance and Accounting Services teams) on day-to-day service delivery performance and managing customer satisfaction
• Ensure RACM compliance as applicable including timely review and sign-off of monthly controls.
• Consider and challenge the financial services control environment making suggestions for control improvements to strengthen the overall control environment.
• Support the internal & external audit process for SOX and financial statement audits.
• Participate and lead in projects on new upcoming additional scope in Group Services: new customers, scope (i.e., Business Units and processes not currently covered) and new services
• Manage Fixed process and ensure Quarterly/HY and Yearly reporting are done accurately.
• Ensure Fixed Assets policy and procedure documentations (process DTPs) are maintained and reviewed annually.
About yourself
We are looking for passionate candidates having:
• Educational qualification
+ Commerce Graduate, CA- Inter, Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Finance), CPA or equivalent will be an asset.
+ Good accounting/IFRS knowledge with a CPA or equivalent
• Professional Experience & Technical skills
+ Minimum 5-9 years of experience in a similar role
+ Extensive knowledge of SAP and experience with HFM. Business processes knowledge (primarily Fixed Assets and additionally General Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Financial Planning & Reporting, Intercompany Accounting and Analytics) is highly desirable.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
+ Project experience with and good reporting skills and PM skills
+ Knowledge of large-scale finance shared services' processes; how they are linked and how they bring value to an organization.
+ Strong technical skills using tools such as: Power BI, Tableau, using API, linking databases, etc.
• Soft Skills:
+ Partnership skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
+ Problem Solver - seeking relevant information to analyze issues and problems to produce effective solutions to problems.
+ Business Improvement mindset and skills
+ Strong technical skills in MS Office suite, proficiency in excel.
+ Ability to adapt to change, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
+ Willingness to work in global environment and time zones.
