#### Qualifications
##### Essential criteria
• HCPC registration
• Relevant professional degree
• Attendance at masters level post graduate courses relevant to the specialist area or equivalent
• ADOS trained
• Membership of a relevant professional body & related specialist subgroups
##### Desirable criteria
• Communication skills training
• DISCO and/ or SCERTS training
#### Knowledge and Expertise
##### Essential criteria
• Post registration knowledge which is relevant to the specialist area
• In depth knowledge of recent NHS legislation, and recommendations for specialist area
• Detailed awareness of the national and local priorities and changing trends in the specialist area
• Working knowledge of child protection issues
#### Experience
##### Essential criteria
• Proven post registration experience, in the relevant specialism
• Experience of planning and completing audit and research
• Experience of teaching and mentoring of staff
• Experience of undertaking projects
