Advanced Application Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 QCS Purpose of the Job The primary purpose of this position is to deliver superior customer satisfaction with the HPS Technical Support response, communication, and resolution of customer cases for the HPS System and Infrastructure line of business. The GTAC engineer works in a global team, providing support for a defined set of products/technologies. Works closely with peer colleagues globally to solve technical problems. Visit to customer locations may be required for critical site investigations. Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent remote technical support specialized in QCS area.

• Proactively manage and respond to customer questions, issues, and input accurately and within agreed Service Level Agreement.

• Respond to customer inquiries by diagnosing the issue and providing the most appropriate technical solution.

• Open to work on rotating shift to provide remote support for global customers. Available as a stand-by or AHE (After Hours Emergency) support.

• Comply with all GTAC/GSM processes for case management, documentation and proactive customer communication.

• Provide local affiliates with periodic updates, so that they can interface effectively with the customer using current information.

• Maintain accurate and timely case notes per GTAC process.

• Maintain strong case documentation that will help to create knowledge article after issues resolution.

• Maintain internal Lab hardware and software used to provide customer support infrastructure. Keep abreast with latest technical advances in the broad HPS product/systems portfolio, while maintaining expert knowledge on designated product lines.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in QCS (Quality Control System) /CWS (Continuous Web Solution) field

• Minimum 3+ years project/service/engineering experience in Experion MX, DaVinci, MX Proline applications, Scanners and Sensors

• Hands on experience and understanding of the Control concepts used in QCS/CWS systems.

• Experience in QCS Scanners / Sensors family of DaVinci 4000, EMX Q4000 and 402X family, Q3090, 4080 & 5080 etc. or ABB/Metso/Voith QCS systems.

• Familiar with Machine direction controls, Performance Multivariable controls, Profit loop setup and debugging.

• Familiar with Cross direction controls, Performance Multivariable CD Controls setup and debugging.

• Experience in Serial links, Modbus, OPC configuration and debug within Honeywell portfolio / with 3rd party systems.

• Sound knowledge of Electrical and Electronics circuit troubleshooting of Sensors and its operations.

• Familiar with QCS/CWS installation, configuration and RAE application trouble shooting

• Familiar with Pulp, Paper and CWS process (Metal, Rubber and continuous web solutions), understanding the system design for process

• Familiar with sensor configuration and calibration on Honeywell QCS Scanners.

• Familiar with recipe based control process configuration and maintenance.

• Familiar with Virtualization

• Understanding the system design and reaching the right document in QCS database.

• Experience with Honeywell and legacy Measurex Quality Control Systems (QCS) including the RAE Real-time Application Environment

• Flat sheet/extruded products industry experience

• Advanced field experience typically multiple platforms

• Experience in industrial communications: Fieldbus, OPC.

• Experience in Business Local Area Networks, CISCO or similar LAN devices

• Familiar with VMWare technology

• Familiar with LabVIEW debugging is preferable

• Experienced in industrial sectors (Pulp and Paper, Chemical industry)

• Working experience with Modbus, TCP/IP networks (network/device configuration, firewall administration)
