It will support not only the business development in India, but also the global product portfolio of the Company.Position Summary:The Advance Engineer - Chassis will be responsible for developing systems/subsystems for Small & Medium tractors (30-300+hp) segment. Position is part of Small & Medium Ag. Tractor PDE team at ITC and requires close collaboration with local/global peers, local and global leaders to transform the value generated for organisation & for the stakeholders. Nature of work shall predominantly be focused on Product Design across new & current product development, VA/VE, sustenance engineering, etc.Primary Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 The person should be expert level in:o Dual Wheel systems (4 tires on each axle), CTIS (Central Tire Inflation system), Track systems, pneumatic compressor ORo Front Hitches + Front Three Point Linkages + Front PTO Drives + Complex castings ORo Front Axle suspension linkages, Cabin suspension. Selection of Hydraulic, pneumatic & spring suspension. Behavioural prediction of Suspension system with load/field conditions/vehicle parameters with Matlab / python would be highly acknowledged.\xc2\xb7 The person should be proficient in Drawbar / Tow hook design & matching compatibility for different global regions / countries for homologation & customer requirements.\xc2\xb7 respect vehicle architect and packager requirements\xc2\xb7 coordinate Design Analysis and Simulation (FEM) activities\xc2\xb7 complete eBoM (engineering Bill of Material) structure in PLM\xc2\xb7 provide system schemes and homologation drawings\xc2\xb7 lead design reviews & D-FMEA's as requested\xc2\xb7 support prototype phase by Work Orders\xc2\xb7 provide technical support to other company functions (Product Validation, Technical publication, etc.)\xc2\xb7 resolve Chassis area reliability issues (PIR's, EW)\xc2\xb7 provide support to Manufacturing with presence during the launch phases (development, pre-build, 4P)\xc2\xb7 create and manage components libraries (share point)Functional/Technical Deliverables:\xc2\xb7 Responsible for delivering the work in an autonomous mode with limited supervision from ITC in close collaboration with global teams focusing Execution Excellence on Time, Quality and productivity KPIs\xc2\xb7\xc2\xb7 Responsible for growing technology of products in responsibility area, liasing with external / internal stakeholdersEducation Qualification:BE and/or ME in Mechanical/Production or equivalent discipline is preferred from reputed instituteDetails of Work experience:\xc2\xb7 A minimum of 10 years overall experience; preferable from Agricultural tractors/ Harvesters/Agricultural products domain\xc2\xb7 A minimum of 3 years specific experience in independently handling complex programs (more than 1) in Chassis Technical area\xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 Expertise on Casting / Forgings, to be able to independently select material with appropriate grade / manufacturing process, tool friendly & assembly friendly design with optimised function & cost\xc2\xb7 Experience on key components in Chassis area as highlighted already in the document.\xc2\xb7 Preferably experience on Ag. Tractor design engineering with knowledge of various sub-systems like Underhood Packaging, Engine, Hydraulics, Driveline, etc. and applications of Ag.
