Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Admissions Counselor to join the School of Law and Governance team. The Admissions Counselor will play a crucial role in recruiting prospective students, guiding them through the admissions process, and promoting the academic programs offered by the school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a primary point of contact for prospective students, providing information and guidance on admission requirements, academic programs, and university offerings within the School of Law and Governance.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality applicants, including organizing and participating in recruitment events, open houses, and college fairs.
• Review and evaluate applications, transcripts, and supporting documents to assess applicants' qualifications and eligibility for admission into the school's programs.
• Conduct informational sessions, campus tours, and individual meetings with prospective students and their families to address inquiries, discuss program details, and provide guidance throughout the application process.
• Collaborate with the admissions team to develop marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and online content, to promote the School of Law and Governance.
• Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions, application statuses, and recruitment activities using the university's CRM system.
• Assist in the development and implementation of admission policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance the recruitment and enrollment process.
• Stay informed about trends in higher education, admissions practices, and competitor institutions to inform recruitment strategies and outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience (3-4 years) in admissions, recruitment, or student services within a higher education setting, preferably in law or governance-related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of the college admissions process, including application review, evaluation, and enrollment management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse audiences effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in managing applicant data and records.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in computer applications and CRM systems used for admissions and recruitment purposes.
