Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counsellor to join our team in Dehradun. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and support to students, parents, and staff in a school/organizational setting. As a Counsellor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome challenges, achieve personal growth, and make informed decisions regarding academics, careers, or personal issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Support:
• Offer one-on-one and group counseling sessions to students to address academic, emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.
• Provide career guidance and help students identify their interests, strengths, and career paths.
• Assist students in developing coping strategies, stress management techniques, and positive behavioral skills.
• Parental Guidance:
• Collaborate with parents to understand students' needs and challenges.
• Provide advice and strategies to parents for supporting their child's development and well-being.
• Conduct workshops or meetings to address common parental concerns.
• Academic Counseling:
• Assist students in making informed decisions about subject choices, higher education, and career opportunities.
• Provide support for improving academic performance and addressing learning difficulties.
• Mental Health and Well-being:
• Identify signs of mental health issues and provide appropriate interventions or referrals.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for individuals to express their concerns.
• Promote emotional well-being through various workshops, activities, and awareness programs.
• Collaboration with Faculty:
• Work closely with teachers and school administration to address students' needs.
• Provide training and workshops for staff to support student well-being and mental health.
• Help design and implement school policies related to student guidance and discipline.
• Record-Keeping and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and progress.
• Prepare reports and provide feedback to stakeholders as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality and ethical practices in all counseling activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in counseling are preferred.
• Experience:
• Prior experience in a school or organizational counseling role is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates with strong interpersonal skills are welcome to apply.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Proficiency in conducting workshops, presentations, and counseling sessions.
• Personal Traits:
• A genuine passion for helping others.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff.
• Sensitivity to cultural, emotional, and social differences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
