Job Summary:
As an Academic Counselor, you will work with students to help them select courses, understand academic programs, set career goals, and manage any academic challenges they may encounter. Your role will involve advising students on course selection, college or program applications, and future career pathways, ensuring they make informed decisions to succeed in their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise students on course selection, program requirements, and career pathways.
• Help students assess their interests, skills, and academic strengths to establish realistic and achievable goals.
• Provide information on college admissions, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid.
• Monitor student progress and offer guidance to address academic challenges.
• Conduct workshops or informational sessions on study habits, test preparation, and career exploration.
• Collaborate with faculty and other departments to create a supportive and positive academic environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and career plans.
• Stay updated with educational trends, new programs, and job market requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. (Master's preferred).
• Proven experience in academic counseling, student advising, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of educational programs, admissions processes, and career planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathetic, patient, and solution-oriented approach to student concerns.
• Proficiency in using counseling software or educational platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,104.28 - ?35,000.00 per month
