Job Overview:
The Admission Counselor cum Telecaller is responsible for handling inbound and outbound communication with prospective students and their parents. The role involves providing detailed information about courses, assisting with the admission process, and guiding students toward the appropriate educational program. The individual will also be required to meet admission-related targets, manage inquiries, and promote the educational institution's offerings through effective telecalling and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Counseling :
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information on the institution's courses, admission criteria, fees, and deadlines to prospective students and their families.
• Counsel prospective students about the best-suited courses based on their academic interests, career goals, and qualifications.
• Assist students in completing the admission application process, including documentation, form submission, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Guide students on the steps required to complete the admission process smoothly and efficiently.
Telecalling :
• Make outbound calls to potential students, follow up on leads, and encourage them to apply for programs offered by the institution.
• Answer incoming calls and emails, addressing inquiries related to courses, admission processes, and institution details.
• Engage in cold calling, lead generation, and follow-ups with potential candidates who have shown interest in applying.
• Ensure all leads and inquiries are documented and updated in the CRM system for follow-up and tracking purposes.
Customer Service & Relationship Management :
• Provide timely responses to queries, addressing concerns related to admission processes, course offerings, and general institutional information.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective students, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that prospective students have a positive experience throughout the admission process by offering guidance, advice, and ongoing support.
Lead Generation & Follow-Up :
• Generate new leads through phone calls, emails, and other outreach strategies.
• Follow up on inquiries from various sources (online portals, campus visits, referrals, etc.) to convert them into admissions.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and ensure all follow-up activities are timely and consistent.
Promotion & Conversion :
• Effectively communicate the institution's strengths, values, and educational programs to prospective students.
• Work towards achieving admission-related targets, converting inquiries into confirmed enrollments.
• Participate in promotional campaigns, webinars, or virtual sessions to increase brand awareness and reach potential applicants.
Coordination with Other Teams :
• Coordinate with the admissions, academic, and marketing teams to streamline the admission process and ensure clear communication regarding student status.
• Assist in organizing and promoting open house events, information sessions, or counseling events.
Data Management & Reporting :
• Maintain and update student databases, ensuring all lead and inquiry information is accurately entered and tracked in the system.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on leads, conversions, and overall progress on admission targets.
• Provide feedback to the management team on trends, student preferences, and potential improvements in the admission process.
Required Qualifications:
• Educational Qualification :
• Bachelor's degree in any field. A background in education, marketing, or counseling is preferred.
• Experience :
• Previous experience in telecalling, customer service, sales, or educational counseling is an advantage.
• Experience in handling student admissions, working with educational institutions, or knowledge of academic programs is a plus.
Skills :
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students and parents.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
