An executive assistant to a director supports the director's administrative and information needs, and helps them perform effectively. Their responsibilities include:
• Managing schedules Prioritizing and scheduling appointments, meetings, and events
• Handling communications Managing emails, correspondence, and other communications, and highlighting and prioritizing those that need the director's attention
• Organizing meetings Sending reminders, organizing catering, and preparing agendas and materials
• Making travel arrangements Coordinating complex travel logistics, including accommodations, transportation, and meals
• Handling confidential information Maintaining strict confidentiality with all materials, and exercising discretion in all interactions and communications
• Providing administrative support Writing and editing emails, drafting memos, preparing communications, and performing minor accounting duties
• Planning events Organizing team communications and planning events, both internal and off-site
• Contributing to special projects Working closely with other team members and departments to assist with special projects, initiatives, or events
The role requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative, and the ability to make decisions on a daily basis.
