Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking an Associate Director, Real-World Data Analytics to join our Data Science and Digital Health function Innovative Medicine Research & Development located in Hyderabad/ Bangalore, India. The R&D Data Science and Digital Health (DSDH) team within Johnson and Johnson innovative Medicine develops innovative technology solutions to gain efficiency in R&D. One of the central capabilities of the DSDH team is the use of Real-world Data (RWD) and other retrospective databases to:


• Generate actionable insights to inform clinical trial design
• Analysis of various data sources to inform patient and site selection for clinical trials
• Perform comparative effectiveness analysis of pipeline products versus real-world standard of care
• Conduct natural history studies to inform disease etiology, treatment patterns and outcomes in target populations with diseases of interest.


To enable these capabilities, a technical skillset in interacting with large claims and electronic health records databases (billions of records), clinical trial data, competitive intelligence data etc., is essential. To that end, we are looking to hire highly skilled big data analytics professionals. Responsibilities for this Associate Director's qualifications are included below:



Responsibilities:


• Develop, standardize, and implement robust pipelines for the analysis for large healthcare databases
• Develop treatment pattern algorithms to map a patient's journey from diagnosis through end of available follow-up
• Comfort with producing high quality analysis/reports and also performing quality control/validation of work produced by others
• Interact with a variety of database ecosystems including Redshift, Snowflake, etc.,.
• Utilize SQL, R, Python, and other statistical programming tools as needed to perform analysis.
• Analysis of observational/real-world data systematically using frameworks like PICOTs.
• Act with agility when producing results





Qualifications
------------------


• Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., epidemiology, statistics, biostatistics, health economics, biomedical informatics, computer science, artificial intelligence, or similar)
• 7+ years of progressive, hands-on experience with real-world evidence generation and decision sciences in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Expert understanding of database ecosystems such as Hadoop, Redshift, Impala, etc.,
• Expert skills in at least one statistical programming language: R, Python, or SAS
• Experience with the use multiple health insurance claims and electronic health record databases.
• Bonus points for familiarity with clinical trial data and SDTM/ADAM standards.
