Accounts Receivable Specialist

JOB OBJECTIVE

AR Specialist will be a part of the Columbus Global Finance Operations team and will be based out of Columbus India entity. This person works closely with the Various BUs and Global Finance Operations Account receivable teams and takes care of collections and cash applications for centralized accounts.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for end-to-end AR process viz., Customer management, Intercompany and other non-project invoicing, receivable/collection processes.
• Understand the existing processes followed by different BU\'s
• Responsible for finance-to-finance collection activities and co-ordination with BUs and Customers in ensuring timely collections.
• Ensuring accurate provision for bad debts creation as per group policy
• Co-ordinate with Intercompany BUs in ensuring the transactions are settled on a timely basis.
• Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts
• Professionally making outbound collection calls while keeping and improving customer relations.
• Resolves client-billing problems and rescues account receivable delinquency, applying good customer service promptly.
• Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection and cash application reports.
• Contact customers and discuss their overdue payments.
• Manage daily cash application of payments made for your assigned customers as per KPI\'s.
• Reconcile customer accounting by running unapplied payment reports and cleaning up on-account balances.
• Ability to proactively manage his or her work streams as needed.
