Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist must be an independent thinker who is comfortable working in a high-volume, fast paced environment. The specialist must also be process driven and customer service oriented.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 year Accounting Degree
• 2 - 4 years of progressive accounting experience or 4 year Accounting Degree - New College Graduates are welcome to apply
• Experience in Great Plains Dynamics, Cognos, MS Excel, Word, and Outlook is preferred
• Previous experience in a sales or telecommunications environment is preferred
Responsibilities:
• Uses an understanding of the General Ledger to review, code, and process Vendor invoices for multiple companies
• Identifies and resolves vendor invoices which will require the ability to research, communicate, and follow through
• Manages Vendor account reconciliations and General Ledger Reconciliations
• Maintains Vendor maintenance and communications to ensure that vendor documentation is received
• Assists with the processing of Employee Expense Reports including the review of expense allowances and receipts to ensure compliance with company travel policy
• Administers and maintains Concur and American Express policies
• Runs processing and distribution of payments weekly
• Processes of Year End 1099s
• Assists with month end responsibilities, audits, and other projects
