The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Cash Management:
Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
Prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
Payroll Processing:
Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursements.
Maintain payroll records and handle related queries from employees.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Inventory Management:
Collaborate with other departments to manage inventory levels and ensure accurate recording of stock movements.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments to support financial needs and improve overall efficiency.
Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
