The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, with a specific focus on costing and analysis, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, efficient processing of transactions, and strategic financial planning to support the company\'s goals. Key Responsibilities: Costing and Analysis: Develop and implement cost accounting systems and procedures. Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Monitor and analyze cost trends and their impact on financial performance. Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making. Accounts Payable: Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger. Prepare and review accounts payable aging reports. Accounts Receivable: Supervise the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and cash application. Maintain customer relationships to ensure timely payment of invoices. Develop and implement credit policies and procedures. Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger. Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports. Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Prepare financial statements and management reports. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Coordinate with external auditors during audits. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support. Conduct performance evaluations and identify development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings. Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations. Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting, and financial analysis. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
